A 25-year-old man, Mugerwa Trafford Jamil, is currently being held at Luzira Prison after being arrested and charged with computer misuse. The allegations stem from content shared on his YouTube channel, “There is Still Hope,” between 2023 and November 2025, which allegedly aimed to ridicule, degrade, or demean Apostle Grace Lubega Matovu and Phaneroo International Ministries
According to the charge sheet, Mugerwa and others still at large are accused of sharing information that created hostility against Apostle Grace Lubega. Mugerwa has denied the charges, claiming the content was his personal opinion.
The case has sparked debate about freedom of expression and the application of the Computer Misuse Act in Uganda. Mugerwa is expected to return to court for further proceedings
