Former secular artist, Jackie O, now known as Jackie Tumusime Sempijja, has shared her incredible testimony of how she found Jesus in a moment of desperation.
Jackie O, who rose to fame as a member of the popular music group Obsessions, has undergone a remarkable transformation. She recently got married to Mr. Sempijja and has been sharing her story of redemption and faith.
According to Jackie, her journey with Jesus began on a hospital bed when she was fighting for her life and the life of her unborn baby. She had been involved in a car accident while pregnant and was rushed to Kampala hospital, where doctors suggested an emergency C-section to save both her and the baby.
However, her husband, who was not present at the time, refused to give consent for the operation. Jackie recounts that she was in a state of panic and desperation, feeling like all hope was lost. But then, she says, she literally saw the face of God and heard a voice telling her to call on Jesus.
“I called out to Jesus with all my heart, and He heard me,” Jackie shares. “I pleaded with God to save my baby’s life, even if it meant taking mine. I knew I had lived a sinful life, but my baby was innocent and deserved a chance.”
As she lay there, Jackie says she saw God and heard a voice saying, “Be still.” In that moment, she felt a sense of peace and calm wash over her, and her baby’s pulses began to strengthen.
Jackie O’s son, her third child and first boy, is now alive and healthy, and she attributes it all to the power of Jesus. She has since dedicated her life to serving God and sharing her testimony with others.
